Either though a cable provider with a cable modem, or DSL service from your phone company utilizing a DSL modem. Nowadays broadband service basically means \"lots of bandwidth\". This bandwidth can be used for digital cable and digital phone service as well as traditional internet service. Broadband doesn't necessarily mean wired, you can get wireless broadband service in most areas.
